    Mark your organizer as "Finished"

    Once you have completed the necessary steps and are ready for our team to proceed, remember to select the GREEN "FINISH" button within the organizer. This action signals that you have finished the organizer and are ready for the next steps. Even after marking it as "Finished," you can still continue to upload additional documents as needed.

    Email notification for partially uploaded documents

    If you have already uploaded most of your documents but haven't finished the entire process, it's recommended to send an email to support@yhbcpa.com. By doing so, you can inform our team that most of your essential documents are available for download. This proactive step allows us to begin working on your return promptly. Typically, we won't download your organizer and documents until we are certain you have completed the process, making it crucial to follow these steps.

  • Yes, for each entity, we require a new signed engagement letter each year.

  • Once you open the SafeSend organizer, click on "complete organizer," and then select the download icon located in the top right corner.

  • Absolutely! To save your work, simply click the green "save and continue" button in the bottom right corner.

  • While the program allows both the taxpayer and spouse to access the organizer at the same time, we recommend against it. Any changes made by both parties will only be retained based on what the last person saved.

  • Certain pages of the Organizer will display a paper clip icon. These pages allow you to directly upload source documents that correspond with the specific page.

  • You can utilize the "Notes to Tax Preparer" box in the bottom right corner to notify us of significant changes or provide additional information regarding a specific page in the organizer. All notes will be compiled on a separate page for your tax preparer to review.

  • The Notes section is not a real-time chat feature, but rather a limited area to provide a quick note to your CPA for the current page. It will be reviewed once we begin preparing your tax return.

  • We prefer PDF files for your tax documents, but we can also accept JPEG, Word, and Excel files. If you attach a JPEG photo image, please ensure that it is legible.

  • After completing all relevant fill-in sections of the organizer, click the green "finish" button in the bottom right corner. You will then be directed to the home screen where you can click on "upload documents" to attach any additional files.

  • Once you have completed the organizer and uploaded your source documents, you will be presented with two options. Choose "Complete" if you are confident that you have submitted all your tax documents and are ready for us to prepare your return. Selecting "Complete" will lock your organizer, preventing further changes or file additions. Alternatively, choose "Save & Notify Tax Professional" if you are waiting on additional documents.

  • For the optimal experience, we recommend using Google Chrome. While SafeSend also works with Safari, Firefox, and other browsers, we strongly discourage using Internet Explorer with SafeSend as it may not function properly.

  • Certainly! You can utilize your phone to sign the engagement letter and upload documents. This feature also allows you to take pictures of documents using your phone or iPad and securely upload them.

  • If you don't have a scanner, you can use the camera on your phone or iPad to take pictures of your documents. Ensure the documents are well-lit and placed on a flat contrasting surface for the best results.

  • Please contact us and we will be happy to unlock your organizer, enabling you to submit additional documents.
